Delisting/Unpublishing van: Step by step

Van Removal

Stage One

  • Go to Wheelbase

  • Search for the van

  • Select the down arrow next to “Edit”

  • “Unpublish”


  • Change Name to EX- (Only if they have no more bookings and owner payments are all settled)

    • Go to the “Details” tab

    • Change the van name to “EX- [VanName] (Only if they have no more bookings and owner payments are all settled)

    • Save Changes


Stage Two

  • In Quicktracks go to Live on website

  • Select “Unpublish Van” next to the van you wish to remove

  • Remove the “Published” Date

  • Enter the removal date (default is today) in “Unpublished”

  • Tick the box if you want to email the exit survey to the owner

  • Click “unpublish”


Stage Three 

  • Remove owner from Quirky Owners Google group

    • go to members and search for the owners name or email

    • tick the box next to their name on the left to select them

    • click the round circle in the top left to remove


  • Remove from Facebook owners group 


Email example to owner:

Thank you for your message. Sorry to hear that you are selling XXX , but I understand that sometimes things change. We all appreciate your kind words and your positive feedback about Quirky. You'll receive an Exit Survey soon, if you could take a moment to complete it, we'd really appreciate it. 

I have (unpublished/made van unavailable) XXXX from our website, you can still access your booking history and manage your account on Wheelbase. 

I am glad that you have enjoyed renting out XXX and creating happy memories for people. It sounds like she is a wonderful van with a lot of character. I hope that you will find a good buyer for her and that she will continue to bring joy to others.

We would love to have you back as an owner in the future if you ever decide to get another van.
