Do I have to be present when the customer drops back the van?
Ultimately, this is your decision but we would strongly recommend you be there to inspect your campervan when a customer drops it back.
If your van is damaged and you are not present with the customer when you spot it, it is extremely difficult to assign blame to the customer after the customer leaves and some time has passed.
