Your safety is the priority. If you feel the campervan is not roadworthy or unsafe to drive, please stop using the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
You should then:
- Contact the owner immediately and explain your concerns
- Use the breakdown cover if advised
Owners are responsible for ensuring their campervan remains roadworthy at all times and must carry out appropriate checks and servicing.
If you are unable to resolve the situation with the owner, or you feel the issue is serious, please contact us during your hire period so we can assist and review the matter in line with our Booking Conditions.
If the vehicle is deemed unsafe and cannot be used, we will review the circumstances carefully. Where a genuine roadworthiness issue prevents you from continuing your trip (and correct procedures have been followed), a refund for any unused nights would normally be due.
It’s important that concerns are raised as soon as possible during the hire, as continuing to use the vehicle without reporting the issue may affect eligibility for a refund.
If you’re unsure whether something affects roadworthiness, it’s always best to raise it immediately so it can be properly assessed.
